Terms of Service
Last updated 5 November 2026
- Your page, links and offers are yours. You’re responsible for keeping them accurate and lawful.
- Ask every customer for reviews the same way. Never pay, discount or reward anyone for a review, and never steer only happy customers to Google.
- Each sign has its own link. You can test it, turn it off, or point it at a different page at any time.
- Insights are estimates of taps and scans. They are not proof that a review was posted.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between the business or person using Back to Hello (“you”) and Dolphy Technology LLC, which operates Back to Hello (“we”). They cover our NFC and QR signs, the business pages they open, and the management portal. A separate written order or quote may add pricing, delivery and hardware details. If it conflicts with these terms, the order wins for that purchase.
2. Accounts and who can do what
Portal accounts are created by us or by your operator. Keep your password private, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. The person who controls a business in the portal decides who else gets access and what they can do. Only the business owner or operator can change the business name, logo, link destinations and public address. You are responsible for what happens under the accounts you grant.
3. Managed and self-managed service
With managed service, we or your operator set up and publish your page for you, based on what you approve. With self-managed service, your team publishes changes itself. Either way, nothing goes live until it is published, and drafts are never shown publicly.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of your logos, images, text, links and offers. You give us permission to host, display and adapt them (for example resizing images) only to run your page and the service. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload or link to, and that it isn’t misleading, unlawful, or infringing anyone else’s rights.
5. Reviews: the rules we all follow
Back to Hello is built to follow Google’s review policies and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s rule on consumer reviews and testimonials (16 CFR Part 465). When you use it, you agree:
- Not to offer money, discounts, free items or any other benefit in exchange for a review, or for changing or removing one.
- Not to show the review option only to customers you expect to be happy (“review gating”), or to discourage negative reviews.
- Not to write, buy or post fake reviews, or have staff review your own business without disclosure.
- Not to tie any offer on your page to leaving a review or rating. The portal blocks offers that mention reviews or ratings.
If you collect reviews on your Back to Hello page, decide what to publish fairly. Hide a review only for a clear reason, such as personal data, abuse, spam or being off-topic, never because it is negative. Never publish private feedback, and never present published reviews as all the reviews you received. The page always shows that not every review is displayed.
Your Google review button opens Google’s own review form for the location you choose. We don’t submit, edit, filter or guarantee reviews, and we don’t control Google’s decisions about which reviews it shows.
6. Signs, links and insights
Each sign gets its own permanent link, with separate NFC and QR versions so you can compare them. You can put a link in test mode (taps open the page but aren’t counted), turn it off (it shows an unavailable message), or reassign the sign to another page. Your public page address stays the same, and old addresses forward to new ones after you rename.
Insights are estimates. A count can include repeat visits from the same person. A copied link can be opened without touching the sign. Bots and privacy-signalling browsers are left out. Counts show that a link was opened, not that a review, follow, booking or contact save was completed. See our Privacy page for exactly what is recorded.
7. Physical signs
NFC reading distance and reliability depend on the phone, the case, the mounting surface and what the sign is made of. Test each sign on the phones your customers use before relying on it. Tell us about defects promptly after delivery. Replacement, return and warranty terms for hardware are set out in your order. If a sign is lost, stolen or misused, turn its link off in the portal, and we can issue a new one.
8. Acceptable use
Don’t use Back to Hello to mislead people, impersonate another business, collect personal data without permission, send people to harmful or illegal content, or interfere with the service or other businesses’ data. Don’t generate fake taps or scans. We may pause a page or turn off a sign link that breaks these terms or puts visitors at risk. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first.
9. Fees
Prices, billing periods and what’s included are set out in your quote or order. Unless your order says otherwise, you can cancel a subscription at the end of any billing period, and we don’t refund partial periods. We’ll give you notice before any price change takes effect.
10. Ending the service
You can stop using Back to Hello at any time. If the service ends, we’ll keep your page available or forward your sign links for a reasonable period if you ask, so printed signs don’t strand customers. On request, we’ll export your page content and insights, then delete them.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep pages fast and available, but we can’t promise the service will never be interrupted. Services we link to, such as Google, Instagram or booking sites, are run by others, and they can change or stop working at any time. We may improve or change features. If a change materially reduces what you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost reviews. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can’t be limited.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
14. Contact and changes to these terms
Questions about these terms: the contact details your Back to Hello operator gave you. If we update these terms, we’ll change the date at the top and, for material changes, tell portal account holders before they take effect.
